Today Brendon Cox the widower of assassinated MP Jo Cox has asked all across the political divide to cease electioneering in the General Election for an hour & come together to remember the death of Jo last June by a far-right terrorist, if there was ever reminder as to why she was murdered it was this morning on social-media where the far-right trolls saying she got what she deserved & the BBC’s Marr where UKIP’s was attempting to (as UKIP often do) whip up xenophobia, racism & hatred.
Some might not read too much into what is said on Twitter & other social-media platforms, but I’d remind peeps with this question, how do you think the Tea Party & the Alt-tight begun? I think peeps forget that Twitter played a significant part in propelling Donald Trump into the White House. I think it was Oscar Wilde who said ‘give a man a mask & he’ll tell you the truth’ & in my opinion nothing could be truer when it comes to social-media. Oh how UKIP & others on the Alt-Right (which is the far-right by another label) love to spout about how leftists like Jo Cox had it coming.
If you want no finer illustration as what contributed to the terrorist assassination of MP Jo Cox then look no further to UKIP. Oh sure UKIP might now be electorally imploding, but in their implosion they’re more then ever an extreme far-right party full of reactionary bigots who’d like nothing better to hang all lefties from lamp posts in some kind of fascist coup. It was Nigel Farage’s cult like leadership of UKIP & the platform that gave him in to spout his rhetoric of hate which led to the toxic political environment that pushed Thomas Mair to kill Jo Cox all because she wanted Britain to be a compassionate & diverse nation & to be part of a diverse global village, all the things Farage had been spouting hate against & obviously stoking the hate in those with unstable minds. It’s not as if the terrorist assassination has tempered in any manner Farage’s rhetoric, because he’s been having constant digs at the widower of Jo Cox for supporting Hope Not Hate, what a compassionate & caring man that Nigel Farage is NOT!
Oh of course UKippers will be bitching that there were no links between UKIP & Thomas Mair & so how dare try to make out there was, yes Mair was never a party member etc, however Meir did have links to the very thuggish far-right Britain First & Paul Golding who’s Britain First’s chief hatemongering thug has said ‘UKIP at the ballot box & Britain First on the streets’ which might explain why Britain First have acted pretty much as UKIP’s Brown-Shirts at various rallies & UKIP conferences. Are you telling there’s no links between UKIP & Britain First, when any time UKIP hold an event & Britain First thugs show up & push around journo & anybody they don’t like the look of & there’s no intervention from UKIP officials!
Even if there weren’t direct links between UKIP & Thomas Mair, Nigel Farage’s gob has had reach, influence & impact, he might as well of stuck that knife into Jo Cox himself!
I guess I’m thankful Paul Nuttall is a far less effective leader of UKIP then Nigel Farage, but it’s not as if the far-right have gone away, just look at how far-right has morphed into alt-right, how a decade ago it was the BNP who were threatening to make an electoral breakthrough & then it was UKIP & so one has to ask what will come next from hatemongers & another MP on the left of the political divide being assassinated by a far-right terrorist wouldn’t surprise me so long as you’ve the likes of Nigel Farage & Katie Hopkins are given platforms in the mainstream media & those of on the left are so unpresented in the mainstream media.
