Back in the 1970s, certain figures in the Tory establishment were none too pleased with the then Labour government lead by Harold Wilson & thus organised a show of force by the army in the shape of military exercise around Heathrow Airport (if don’t believe me then watch this BBC documentary produced by Adam Curtis), so I’m somewhat nervous about having several thousand troops being deployed on the streets to protect strategic sites, particularly when considering there’s a general election in a fortnight & certain army top brass have already made disapproving noises publicly about Jeremy Corbyn.
I know some will think its fucking ridiculous to suggest we are heading for a military coup?!?! Hey there was almost a military coup back in the 1970s due to the Tory establishment’s dissatisfaction of Harold Wilson being too much of a socialist for their liking, is it so far, is it so farfetched for the establishment to arrange a show of force by the army or have the army instigate a full on military coup to topple Corbyn if he became the next Prime Minster.
What’s fucking scary is considering some of the stuff I’ve seen posted on social-media over the past couple of days since the Manchester terror attack, I think there’s enough peeps duped by far-right bollocks for there to be very little resistance to any military coup & the installation of a military junta, as it appears from what many have been communicating on social-media is they’d welcome fascism!
The official reason given for the deployment of troops on the streets of Britain is to protect strategic sites of importance due to there not being enough armed police to do the job in the aftermath of the Manchester terror attack & the immediate threat of other terror attacks being at all time high etc. Of course the crucial question to ask is why there isn’t enough police to protect strategic sites? Hmm wonder if it has anything to do with Tory cuts to police numbers? Yes that’s right Tories policy of austerity doesn’t just kill peeps with disabilities via welfare reform, it puts the security of all citizens in danger!
Now who’s soft on terrorism? Theresa May who cuts police budgets hindering the police in having the resources to combat the threat of terrorism or Jeremy Corbyn who wants to increase policing budgets so police & the security services have the resources to combat terrorism, yeah food for thought before you cast your vote two weeks tomorrow for the Tories because you reckon they’re going to be tougher on terrorism.
